Governance

The WHRD-IC Interim governance structure was established in mid-2023 and is composed of an Interim Executive Committee, an Advisory Committee and the Secretariat.

One of the objectives of the Interim governance body is to create a solid ground for the establishment of a new Executive Committee and governance structure for the WHRD-IC in 2025.

The Interim Executive Committee is made up of organisations that are members of the outgoing Executive Committee, as well as organisational members who have opted in to the commitment of carrying the Coalition into its new phase of governance.

Governance 1

Currently, the Interim Executive Committee is made up of 5 organisations which are:

APWLD
AWID
WGNRR logo
ISHR logo

In addition to being a member of the Interim Executive Committee, WGNRR is also the fiscal host of the WHRDIC.

The Advisory Committee is made up of individual members who want and are committed to take on a more hands-on role in advising on the Coalition's work, and joined the Committee on an opt in basis. 

The Secretariat is directly accountable to the (Interim) Executive Committee, and is comprised of the Executive Coordinator and the Finance Manager of the fiscal host (WGNRR).
